I am going to use this post and dedicate it to the Mighty Ducks series. For those of you who have seen it, you might understand why I like them so much. They are such good movies. I remember watching them when I was a kid, those were some good times. Unfortunately I haven’t seen them in years. The seventh grade was the last time I watched one of the movies and that was the third one. I have now made it my mission in life to own all three movies on DVD. After I have accomplished that I will then set out to own the animated movie of the Might Ducks. I’m sure that is one that not everyone has seen.
The Mighty Ducks- The first one wasn’t really my favorite of the three but it most certainly was not the one I disliked the most. For a first movie it did what it was suppose to do and the that is set the standards for it’s sequels. I found this movie a little boring in certain parts but it is a good example of how players act based on their coach. If the coach is good to his or her players then the outcome will be a successful team. I love how the players start off disliking Bombay but their attitude toward him change throughout the movie as he becomes the coach that they need. He becomes an even better coach when he tells Charlie that it doesn’t matter if he wins the game or not, just know that he believes in him. That is what every coach should tell their players. It doesn’t matter if they win or lose.
D2: The Mighty Ducks- This has to be my favorite out of the three. It has the most comedy and we see some new faces. Not to mention the duo of The Bash Brothers. We see a new ego has grown inside of Bombay he has to overcome it for the sake of his team. Charlie finally notes the he is the team captain when he gives up his spot on the roster for Banks. Banks was my favorite character but when Mike Vitar made his appearance as Luis Mendoza my heart went out to him. (I had a huge crush on his character Benny in the Sandlot) The best scene of the movie is pretty much all of the scenes they played hockey in.
D3: The Mighty Ducks- This would have to be my least favorite of the three. My siblings agree with me that this was not the best of them and I think it is because Bombay was no longer coaching the team. It certainly changed things in my view because they were also much older characters in this movie than they were in the first movie. By the way in case you didn’t know, all of the players that the Ducks go against in this movie are the same players who were on the Hawks team in the first movie. Is your mind blown? Mine certainly was when I read that little bit of trivia. It makes me want to watch it again to see if there are any hidden jokes about it. But these are just my opinions about the movies so be free to make your own if you haven’t watched them yet.
