October is finally here and it is the most wonderful time of the year for me. I love the whole aesthetic about fall and Halloween. Halloween is my number one favorite holiday, with Christmas being my second. The calendar may say that Halloween is only one day a year but for me, it’s the entire month of October. I always try to plan to do something everyday in October that is Halloween themed. It doesn’t really feel like fall until October comes around.
I’m glad it’s October, because I can start bringing out all my holiday decor. I don’t have much of a collection for Halloween decor, I’m young and have years to collect. Now I can decorate and not get questioned “Why do you have that out?”. Another reason I’m glad it’s October is all the Halloween themed movies that will be airing on television. I just love seeing television stations air Halloween themed movies. Do I actually like watching Halloween movies on tv? The answer is, I don’t. In recent years television has been slacking when it comes to their Halloween lineup. Freeform has gotten into the habit where they’ll air just a specific set of movies repeatedly. Like if you didn’t catch Dark Shadows the night it airs then you can just wait til the next day and possibly the next or that weekend. Also they chop up The Addams Family and when they do that, what’s the point of watching it on tv?
Would you rather walk through a cemetery at midnight or spend the night in a spooky abandoned house?
Believe it or not, I’ve actually have walked through a cemetery at midnight. I did it several times in high school with one of my friends. It was just this thing that we did when we would hang out. There’s really nothing spooky about it unless you run into a weirdo. So I would have no problem doing that again. I WOULD rather walk through a cemetery at midnight than spend a night in a spooky abandoned house. You don’t know what you’ll run into at an abandoned house. There could be a squatter, a cult ritual, or any crazy thing you can think of. I’m not worried about it being haunted. I’m not scared of ghost, never had an encounter with one and most likely won’t even then.
